Dr. Michelle Chung is a clinical psychologist specializing in the evaluation and treatment of a diverse range of concerns, including anxiety-related disorders (such as perfectionism and OCD, as well as PANS/PANDAS), trauma, mood disorders, ADHD and executive functioning, occupational challenges/stressors, performance and sports psychology, life transitions, adjustment disorders, parenting, relationship challenges, and affect regulation across the lifespan. Specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) for parents, Dr. Chung is dedicated to providing the most current and effective evidence-based interventions with a passion for helping children, teens, adults, and families. She is also passionate about helping and educating individuals navigating the emotional and physical transitions of perimenopause and menopause, offering informed, empathetic support during this often-overlooked stage of life.

Dr. Chung has published in the areas of child trauma, developmental/complex trauma, suicide, and has given presentations on how to engage and support caregivers throughout treatment. She has also spoken to Olympic-level athletes, teams, parents, and coaches, offering presentations and psychological support to enhance performance and resilience in high-pressure environments. Currently, Dr. Chung is an active member of the DBT consultation team led by Jill Rathus, Ph.D., co-developer of DBT for adolescents and a master DBT trainer.

She is a board member at the Korean Community Services (KCS) organization, has an extensive record of training and professional experience, and has authored several publications. She is the founder of InPractice Psychology and co-founder of TheModernAsianParent, and, above all, a wife and mother.

Michelle is also a passionate speaker, offering engaging and culturally-informed, evidence-based presentations to schools, practices, groups, and organizations. She speaks on topics such as mental health, parenting, identity, resilience and grit, sports and performance psychology, working with Asian populations, navigating life transitions, improving executive functioning skills, and more.
