We are seeking a full-time and contracted therapist to provide exceptional therapy to children, teens, adults, and families. Supervised by Dr. Michelle Chung and InPractice Psychology Group senior clinicians, this role offers opportunities for professional growth, meaningful collaboration, and the chance to make a lasting impact.

About Us

Our practice specializes in evidence-based CBT treatments and addresses a wide range of issues, including:

  • Anxiety 

  • ADHD

  • Executive functioning coaching

  • Trauma and mood disorders

  • Life transitions

  • Parenting

  • Sports and performance psychology (a plus!)

  • Relationship and occupational challenges

  • Knowledge of ACT, DBT, SPACE is a plus

Position Details

  • Type: 1 Full-time and 1 contracted position available

  • Supervision: Weekly supervision provided by Dr. Michelle Chung and InPractice Psychology senior clinicians

  • Location: Hybrid: Virtual + In-person sessions (2 locations: Union Square and UES)

  • Schedule: Flexible hours to meet therapist and client needs

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, parent, or group therapy to children, teens, and adults

  • Conduct assessments and develop tailored treatment plans

  • Utilize evidence-based practices (CBT, DBT, ACT, etc.)

  • Offer executive functioning coaching for clients managing ADHD and related challenges

  • Collaborate with colleagues and other mental health providers to ensure comprehensive care

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

  • Opportunities for presentations and publications

  • Participate in team meetings

Qualifications

  • Licensed as an LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, PsyD, PhD, or equivalent in NY

  • Open to Post-Doctoral Level clinicians

  • Experience working with children, teens, adults, and families

  • Strong foundation in CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based therapies

  • Interest in executive functioning coaching

  • Experience with or interest in sports or performance psychology (a plus)

  • Dedication to providing culturally competent, inclusive care

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

(1) Practice Operations Manager

Position Type: Full-time

Location: Hybrid (virtual and in person as needed, NYC-based)

Responsibilities:

Client Support & Scheduling

  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, providing professional, compassionate, and timely communication.

  • Manage internal communications and practice workflows.

  • Coordinate scheduling for the practice CEO.

  • Coordinate intake process: gather client information and match with the appropriate clinician.

  • Ensure compliance with EMR systems (SimplePractice), maintaining accurate clinical documentation.

Operations & Administration

  • Support onboarding of new clinicians and administrative staff, ensuring smooth integration and clear workflows.

  • Provide administrative and content support for group programs, webinars, and workshops related to parenting, wellness, and mental health.

  • Assist with community outreach efforts to expand accessibility of practice resources.

  • Manage seasonal practice interns and other employees. 

Project & Growth Support

  • Conduct research, compile data, and assist with presentations, publications, and new initiatives.

  • Support strategic growth through project coordination, process improvement, and data analysis.

  • Ensure external communications reflect the values of professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and accessibility.

  • Support outreach and relationship-building efforts with community partners, professional networks, and interdisciplinary providers to strengthen referral pathways and practice visibility.

Qualifications

  • 1.5+ years of administrative or operations experience (corporate, healthcare, private practice, or related field preferred).

  • Commitment to a minimum of two-years to ensure continuity and program development.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and empathetic client-facing demeanor.

  • Experience with medical billing and EMR systems (SimplePractice or similar) preferred but not required.

  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Google Workspace, scheduling tools, and social media platforms.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team while maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
