Therapist / Coach

Dr. Allie Dashow is a clinical psychologist specializing in mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, eating disorders/disordered eating, body image concerns, and sports/performance psychology. She provides executive functioning coaching to clients within private practice and is also employed at Northwell Health, where she provides psychotherapy to high-risk college students and medical students.

Allie utilizes a variety of evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to provide personalized, comprehensive, and effective care to her clients. Central to her practice is a supportive, empathetic, and collaborative approach where clients can explore their challenges, work toward their goals, and build resilience by making meaningful change. This collaborative stance helps clients feel empowered and build a strong sense of agency, thereby allowing them to achieve their goals.

In addition to direct clinical work, she has also conducted a variety of trainings within the psychology field, training other clinicians to provide effective treatment for eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image issues. Her expertise extends to working with athletes and individuals navigating performance-related pressures, integrating sports psychology techniques to support mental resilience, focus, and overall well-being.
