Danielle Kahn

Therapist / Coach

Danielle Kahn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience in providing evidence-based, compassionate care to children, adolescents, and adults. She specializes in treating anxiety, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma, and adjustment challenges through an integrated and strengths-based therapeutic approach. Danielle incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parent Management Training, mindfulness practices, and psychodynamic theories to support her clients in achieving emotional resilience and personal growth.

In addition to her clinical work, Danielle has specialized training in sports psychology and performance psychology, supporting young athletes, performers, and high-achieving students who struggle with perfectionism, pressure, burnout, and performance anxiety. She helps clients understand the mental skills that enhance performance—such as focus, confidence, emotional regulation, and self-talk—and teaches practical strategies that translate to both on- and off-field success. Danielle particularly enjoys helping athletes build resilience, recover from setbacks, and maintain a healthy relationship with competition and identity.

Danielle offers individual and family psychotherapy and executive functioning (EF) coaching, helping clients develop essential skills such as time management, emotional regulation, organization, planning, and cognitive flexibility. She works closely with students who struggle with procrastination, school-related stress, or attention difficulties, as well as adults navigating workplace demands or life transitions. Her EF coaching blends therapeutic insight with practical, real-world strategies to help clients build self-confidence, improve follow-through, and create sustainable systems of support.

She also collaborates with schools, psychiatrists, coaches, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective care for her clients—particularly when supporting student-athletes or clients managing high-pressure environments.

Danielle holds a Master of Social Work degree from New York University, where she was inducted into the Phi Alpha Social Work Honors Society, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The George Washington University, graduating magna cum laude. She is committed to ongoing professional development, holding certifications in Trauma-Focused CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and training in performance psychology.

Danielle’s dedication to fostering mental wellness and her collaborative, strengths-based approach make her a trusted professional in the field of social work and psychotherapy.
