Dr. Subasri Ashok (pronounced SU-BUH-SHREE) is an experienced Clinical Psychologist specializing in supporting clients through life transitions, anxiety-related disorders (such as generalized anxiety, social anxiety, perfectionism, OCD, and phobias), trauma, mood disorders, family conflict, relationship challenges, and co-morbidities among these issues. She is extensively trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-focused CBT (TF-CBT).
Dr. Ashok is deeply committed to serving the LGBTQ+ community, providing affirming and specialized care that addresses the unique mental health challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals. Her experience includes working with the Yale LGBTQ+ Mental Health Initiative and leading DBT and psycho-education groups tailored to LGBTQ+ clients. She creates a safe, inclusive, and supportive space for individuals navigating identity development, discrimination, family dynamics, and mental health concerns.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Ashok offers executive functioning (EF) coaching, helping individuals enhance organization, time management, and goal-directed behavior. She also provides sports/performance psychology coaching, supporting athletes and high performers in strengthening their mental resilience, focus, and ability to manage performance-related pressures. As part of her experience and expertise in this field, she has worked with many Division I athletes in university settings, helping them navigate the unique challenges of elite competition.
She is dedicated to helping individuals build resilience and foster healthy relationships, enabling clients to achieve greater emotional balance and a sense of stability during challenging times.
