Dr. Yuna Seong
Therapist / Neuropsychological Assessor / Coach
Yuna is a dedicated clinician with a passion for fostering resilience, confidence, and well-being in individuals of all ages. With a strong foundation in school psychology and neuropsychological assessment, she takes a holistic, evidence-based approach to supporting her clients both academically and in their daily lives.
Yuna has extensive experience working with neurodivergent individuals, including those on the autism spectrum, ADHDers, and students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia. She specializes in psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessment, executive functioning (EF) coaching, and trauma-informed, culturally responsive interventions.
Yuna integrates a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) into her clinical work. She has specialized training and experience in treating anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), perfectionism, and low self-esteem, using structured, research-supported methods to help clients regulate emotions, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and build adaptive coping strategies.
She has provided therapeutic services and assessments across schools, private clinics, and community mental health programs. Yuna has worked with children, adolescents, and young adults to develop executive functioning skills, emotional regulation, and activities of daily living (ADL) strategies. She also specializes in sports/performance psychology, helping athletes, performers, and high-achieving individuals enhance mental resilience, focus, motivation, and confidence while managing performance-related pressures.
Additionally, Yuna is trained in neurofeedback and biofeedback, which have been shown to be effective in treating ADHD, anxiety, and enhancing sports and performance outcomes. By combining these cutting-edge approaches with CBT, DBT, and ACT frameworks, she helps clients regulate their nervous systems, improve focus, and achieve lasting emotional balance.
Beyond academic and cognitive skills, she is deeply invested in helping individuals build self-advocacy, resilience, and confidence in navigating life’s challenges.
In addition to her clinical work, Yuna has an extensive research background focusing on social-emotional learning, school-based trauma interventions, and equitable mental health services. Her dedication to bridging research and practice ensures that her clients receive informed, individualized, and effective care.
Whether providing therapy, sports/performance psychology coaching, assessment, executive functioning coaching, or neurofeedback and biofeedback interventions, Yuna is committed to empowering each client with the tools they need to thrive—both in and beyond the classroom.
